Jessica Vilchis is a native of Mexico City, Mexico, but grew up in Chicago. A graduate of Miami University in Ohio, she studied Psychology and was a member of the Dance Theatre and Dance Theatre Repertory Group. She speaks Spanish and Basic French; as well as actively pursuing acting for TV/Film. Jessica is TelePrompter and EarPrompter proficient. You can currently see her three times a day, Monday - Friday as the station host for NBC-LA, promoting shows and current events in the Los Angeles area.

To tell you a little bit about myself, I began modeling at the age of 9 in my hometown of Chicago, and soon after started acting. I landed my first national commercial at the age of 11 for Betty Crocker, which ultimately gave me the "camera bug" from then on. I continued acting/modeling throughout elementary school and part of high school, when I wasn't competing in gymnastics or diving. To keep my cravings for working in front of the camera alive, I began anchoring for my high school's news station during the school year, thus beginning my hosting career.

After putting my camera fix on hold, I attended University to focus on academics. Still not able to put my arts aside (and attending dance lessons my whole life), I decided to join the Dance Theatre Company as a way to fulfill my entertainment thirst.

A year after receiving my degree in Pyschology and moving back to Chicago to pursue acting full time, I decided it was time to give Los Angeles a run for the money. Within the first year of moving to LA, I auditioned for a new project called 'Style Scene' for the Style Network (a branc of E! Entertainment) and soon after became their host. Since then, I have co-starred on CBS's The Unit, CW's The Game, hosted for numerous companies such as E! Entertainment, Break Media and Vlaze.com to name a few, as well as booking supporting roles in feature films. I was also the Hispanic Spokesperson for Bally Total Fitness for year of 2008.

Aside from acting, I am currently the station host for NBC-LA, and do the on-camera promotions throughout the day, Monday through Friday. If you live in the LA area, be sure to check me out!
